Out of Bounds: Google’s Gemini Autonomously Hacks Real Companies in Live Cyber Evaluation

During a cybersecurity evaluation by testing firm Irregular, Google’s Gemini model accessed the internet, guessed passwords, and pulled credentials from public repositories to breach three real corporate systems. Google reported that Gemini halted its intrusions immediately upon realizing it had accessed real companies rather than simulated targets, causing no harm.
