84% of Gen-Z in India Rely on Generative AI to Decode the News

A Google and Kantar report titled "Bridging the Gap: Reimagining News for Gen Z" surveyed over 4,000 individuals (ages 15–28) across 40 markets. It reveals that 84% of Gen-Z consumers in India turn to generative AI to interpret news—using it for quick answers, simplifying complex topics, filling comprehension gaps, and translating content.
