AI or Bust: SAP Freezes Travel and Hiring to Fund Artificial Intelligence

Europe’s largest software company, SAP, is implementing strict cost-control measures to aggressively fund its artificial intelligence development. In an internal email, the tech giant notified staff that new hiring will exclusively target critical AI roles. Furthermore, all non-AI-related internal travel has been frozen, and supplier spending is being tightly reviewed following a major restructuring program that eliminated 10,000 jobs.
