Amazon bans police from using facial recognition tech for next year

<p>Two days after IBM’s suspension on using facial recognition tech, Amazon has announced a ban on police force using its facial recognition tech -- Rekognition. Rekognition has been under controversy for promoting racial bias and, needless to say, the move comes after two former Minnesota cops killed George Floyd, causing protests in the US. Amazon, however, will provide rights to organisations combatting human trafficking and other issues. </p>
