Amazon’s Nvidia Competitor Chip is Multi-Billion Business
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy revealed that the company’s custom-designed chip, developed to compete with Nvidia’s hardware for AI workloads, has already become a multi-billion dollar business. This aggressive investment in in-house silicon, primarily the Trainium and Inferentia chips, allows Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer tailored, cost-effective alternatives to its cloud customers for training and deploying Artificial Intelligence models.
