Apple Sued Over Use of Copyrighted Books in AI Training
Apple is facing a lawsuit filed by neuroscientists Susana Martinez-Conde and Stephen Macknik, alleging that the company used pirated versions of their books, including Champions of Illusion and Sleights of Mind, to train its Apple Intelligence AI system. The lawsuit claims Apple utilized "shadow libraries" containing thousands of copyrighted works without permission.
