Apple’s Siri to Use Google Gemini for AI-Powered Web Search

Apple is developing a new AI-driven web search feature for Siri, code-named World Knowledge Answers, slated to roll out with iOS 26.4 in early 2026. The upgrade aims to offer rich, multimodal summaries—combining text, images, and video—from across the web. To power this, Apple has struck a formal deal to test Google’s Gemini model on its servers, while retaining its own AI systems for personal data processing.
