Following backlash over DJ Josh Fawaz's chart-topping cover of Madonna’s "Like a Prayer"—which used undisclosed AI vocals and drums—the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has banned fully AI-generated tracks from its charts and awards. To protect human artistry, future eligible entries must be "substantially human-made" with human lead vocals, though supportive AI tools remain allowed.
