Building the AI Super Highway: Tata Communications Pledges $450 Million for Fiber Expansion

Tata Communications will invest nearly $450 million to construct a 10,000-kilometer AI-ready fiber network across India. Connecting major data center corridors, cloud hubs, and enterprise clusters, the three-phase expansion will add 6 petabits per second of capacity. Funded entirely via operating cash flows, the digital backbone aims to meet skyrocketing bandwidth demand from hyperscalers and global AI platforms.
