CNET lays off entire news team and shifts focus to AI-generated content

<p>CNET, a popular technology news website, has reportedly laid off its entire team of news writers and shifted its focus to AI-generated content, in a move aimed at improving its search engine optimization (SEO) ranking. The layoff decision, which affects approximately 30 employees, comes after the site's parent company, Red Ventures, allegedly determined that AI-generated articles would be more effective in driving traffic to the site.</p>
