EU Parliament passes resolution to ban facial recognition

<p>Stating that the use of AI by law enforcement poses risks spanning opaque decision making, discrimination, etc, the EU Parliament has voted in favor of passing a resolution that will ban law enforcement from using Facial Recognition. The resolution has also called for a permanent ban on automated usage of other physical features, such as fingerprints, DNA, Voice etc. The resolution, which is not legally binding, passed 24 of 36, with 6 abstaining from voting.</p>
