Gates Foundation Leads 60-Organization Coalition to Make AI More Inclusive Across Languages

The Gates Foundation is leading a coalition of 60 organizations, including Google, Anthropic and OpenAI Foundation, to improve AI language datasets and tools for underrepresented languages. The initiative aims to help an estimated 3.4 billion people use AI in their own languages and voices within five years, with efforts including open datasets, benchmarks and projects such as Google’s Project Vaani.
