GenAI Fuels Surge in Telecom Data-Center Capex
With India seeing a jump in 5G smartphone adoption (87%, up from 79%) and home broadband plus fixed wireless spikes leading to 20–30% data traffic growth in FY25, telecom operators are investing heavily in AI-ready data centers. These facilities—integrated with core networks—are set to become critical earnings engines. Projections suggest India’s data-center capacity could reach 3 GW by 2028.
