Google Brings Native Gemini App to Windows, Adding Quick Shortcuts and Autonomous AI Agents

Google has officially launched a native Gemini desktop app for Windows 10 and 11, extending its AI assistant beyond the web browser. Triggered globally via an Alt + Space shortcut, the lightweight client allows users to generate media, summarize documents, and interact with active workspaces without breaking workflow. The app also integrates Gemini Spark, enabling autonomous AI agents to execute multi-step background tasks directly across connected Google Workspace tools.
