iMessage's First AI: Apple Greenlights Poke to Battle Digital Busywork

Apple has approved Poke as the first third-party AI agent to operate natively inside its Messages for Business platform. Developed by The Interaction Company, the startup allows iPhone users to text or voice-message the AI directly within iMessage. Poke can handle real-world tasks like managing calendars, booking restaurants, writing emails, and controlling smart home devices. Apple will monetize the integration by charging the startup a per-user fee.
