Mask selfies are datasets for updated facial recognition systems

<p>Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, where masks are likely to be included as an essential part of everyday attire, scientists are striving to update the facial recognition systems and are using mask selfies as a training dataset for the algorithms. The images are scraped from social media sites, mostly without consent of the users which makes it an unethical practice.<br />
