Meta Admits Muse Was Heavily Inspired by OpenClaw

Meta says its Muse AI assistant was built from scratch but was “heavily inspired” by the open-source OpenClaw agent. Meta’s product chief said the team liked OpenClaw’s design and wanted to create a safer, easier-to-use version that could scale to billions of users. Muse even uses similar workspace file names and nearly identical content in some files.
