Meta’s AI Team Weighs Using Google’s Gemini and OpenAI Models Temporarily
Meta’s Superintelligence Labs is exploring partnerships with Google and OpenAI to integrate their AI models—like Google’s Gemini—into its apps and the Meta AI chatbot. This strategic move could serve as a stopgap until Meta’s in-house model, Llama 5, matches competitor capabilities. Internally, Meta already utilizes external tools such as Anthropic models in internal coding assistants.
