Nvidia Acquires Hugging Face for $12.9B in Major AI Deal

Nvidia has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 billion, expanding its presence in open-source AI. Hugging Face hosts more than 3 million AI models, 500,000 datasets and 1 million applications, serving over 18 million developers. Nvidia says the platform will remain open and support multiple models, cloud providers and computing platforms, while gaining Nvidia’s infrastructure and engineering resources.
