Nvidia CEO Meets TSMC in Taipei Amid U.S. Talks on New China-Specific AI Chip

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang traveled to Taipei for a brief visit with its chip foundry partner TSMC amid mounting U.S.–China tensions over AI chip exports. While in Taiwan, Huang confirmed ongoing discussions with the U.S. government regarding the proposed successor to the H20 chip—the B30A, built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture. He emphasized that any decisions regarding the new chip’s sale to China are ultimately in the hands of U.S. regulators.
