Nvidia Settles Trademark Lawsuit Over Its ‘Modulus’ AI Software

Nvidia has settled a trademark lawsuit filed by fintech company Modulus Financial Engineering over the name “Modulus” used for Nvidia’s AI software. The dispute began in 2024, with Modulus Financial alleging potential consumer confusion. Nvidia later renamed the software PhysicsNeMo in 2025. Financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed, and the case had been scheduled for trial next month.
