OpenAI Key Architect Brad Lightcap Steps Down to Pursue New Venture

Brad Lightcap, OpenAI’s former COO and one of Sam Altman’s long-standing lieutenants, has announced his departure from the company after eight years. Lightcap helped scale OpenAI from a small research lab into an enterprise powerhouse, expanding its commercial team to over 700 staff. In a message to employees, he shared that he is leaving to "start something new."
