OpenAI Reorganizes Personality Team, Launches OAI Labs
OpenAI has merged its Model Behavior team—responsible for shaping ChatGPT’s personality, reducing sycophancy, and managing bias—into the broader Post Training group led by Max Schwarzer. The team’s leader, Joanne Jang, is launching OAI Labs, a new internal initiative focused on inventing advanced, non-chat AI interfaces for deeper human–AI collaboration.
