Petals Is Building A Free, Distributed Network To Run Text-Generating AI

<p>Petals aims to democratize text-generating AI by joining resources from the internet. Volunteers can donate their computing power to tackle a portion of an AI's workload. The Petals network will be powerful enough to run and fine-tune AI systems for chatbots and other "interactive" apps once it reaches sufficient capacity. The tool is intended for research and academic use. Users are adviced to set up their own private swarms to protect their data from other end-users.</p>
