PyTorch Co-founder Soumith Chintala Leaves Meta
Soumith Chintala, the Indian-origin AI pioneer and co-creator of the widely used open-source deep learning framework PyTorch, is leaving Meta after an 11-year stint. Chintala, who held a "VP / Fellow" role, announced his departure to pursue "something small" and new, seeking challenges outside the tech giant. PyTorch is now used by virtually every major AI company.
