Rapid Rise: Intel CEO Highlights Surge in Chinese Frontier AI Adoption

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan stated that the adoption of Chinese frontier AI models—such as DeepSeek, Kimi, and GLM—has been "very fast" due to lower token costs and performance that is "good enough." Speaking at a DBS panel, Tan championed open-source AI as key to driving global efficiency and predicted quantum computing could enter mainstream adoption within three to five years.
