Sarvam AI Upgrades Vision Model to Improve Document Processing Across Indian Languages

Sarvam AI has launched Sarvam Vision 2.1, an upgraded vision-language model focused on document intelligence. It improves extraction from complex forms and multi-page tables, supports handwritten text in Indian languages, and reduces inference costs. Sarvam says the model performs strongly on global and Indic benchmarks, while its new OCR benchmark evaluates document recognition across all 22 official Indian languages.
