Silencing the Algorithms: Australia Bans Wholly AI-Generated Tracks from Official Charts

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has banned tracks created entirely by artificial intelligence from its official music charts to protect human artistry. Prompted by backlash over viral AI-generated songs, the new guidelines require chart-eligible tracks to be "substantially human-made." However, songs using AI in a strictly supporting or creative-enhancement role will remain eligible.
