Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted nine individuals—including employees from tech giants Nvidia and Super Micro—for illegally exporting high-end AI servers packed with restricted Nvidia chips to China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Prosecutors accused the group of using forged shipping documents to bypass U.S. export controls and route the hardware through third countries like Japan for massive profit, severely damaging Taiwan’s international reputation.
