Trapped in Pilot Purgatory: Why Most Indian Firms Are Stalling on AI

According to Adobe’s 2026 State of AI Readiness Report, only 6.7% of Indian enterprises have successfully scaled AI across multiple workflows. Despite 77% increasing year-on-year investments, about 59% remain stuck in the pilot phase. Major roadblocks include IT and security evaluations failing to clear proposals, initial use case struggles, and a lack of organizational coordination.
