Under Constant Watch: UK Shifts to Continuous Oversight for AI Medical Devices

The UK government announced it will adopt all 44 recommendations from a landmark health report, shifting away from one-off pre-market approvals. Moving forward, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) will subject AI-enabled medical devices to continuous, real-world lifecycle monitoring to account for how machine-learning tools evolve and adapt after deployment in the NHS.
