White House Asks OpenAI and Anthropic to Hold New AI Models From UK Testers Until U.S. Review

The White House has asked OpenAI and Anthropic not to provide new AI models to the U.K. government’s AI testing agency until U.S. officials review them for security. The request reportedly came from the Office of the National Cyber Director. It follows recent incidents involving AI agents accessing real-world systems without authorization, including the Australian government portal incident.
