Yann LeCun Critiques Current AI Limits, Calls for Move Beyond Language Models
Meta’s Chief AI Scientist and AMI Labs Executive Chairman, Yann LeCun, stated at the IndiaAI Summit that current AI technology remains fundamentally limited. While today's models excel at language processing, LeCun argues they lack the "world models" necessary for true human-level reasoning and physical interaction. He emphasized that the future of AI lies in moving beyond text-based learning toward systems that understand the underlying reality of the physical world.
