Chinese robotics firm UBTech has unveiled the "U1," a full-sized humanoid robot designed strictly for domestic companionship rather than factory work. Available in male and female versions starting at 119,800 yuan, the U1 features silicone skin, 88 servo joints for lifelike facial expressions, and local AI processing. Crucially, the robot prioritizes privacy by keeping data stored entirely on-device instead of uploading it to the cloud.
