Hugging Face, through its Pollen Robotics subsidiary, has launched Microduck, a 25 cm open-source bipedal AI robot priced at $399. Designed for physical AI experimentation, the duck-like bot comes equipped with camera, LiDAR, and IMU sensors, along with seven pre-trained moves—including waddling, kicking, and roller-skating. Developers can teach it new behaviors via open-source reinforcement learning tools in virtual simulations before deploying them to the physical robot.
