Facebook collects data from retail stores to target users: Report

<p>Facebook has reportedly teamed up with top offline and online retailers to collect customer’s data and use it to target them with the specified ads. Retail companies are sending Facebook customer’s names, phone numbers and email addresses attached to what products they have purchased. A spokesperson from Facebook said retailers are able to reach their customers with ads on Facebook by sharing offline events, like an in-store purchase.</p>
