Vitalik Buterin, founder of Ethereum, anticipates blockchain merger in Sept

<p>The Merge, a highly awaited software update of the Ethereum blockchain, is now slated to release around September 15. It signifies a shift away from the proof-of-work method of mining blocks and toward the proof-of-stake approach for creating new Ether tokens and validating transactions. Holders of Ether can register to validate transactions on Ethereum based on hoards of locked-up tokens under the POS technique.</p>
