UPI-lite enters testing phase

<p>The NPCI has started testing a UPI-based solution that allows making digital payments without an active internet connection. The solution is named UPI lite and enables digital payments up to Rs 200 in rural areas. From Jan 5, The RBI has allowed offline digital payment worth Rs 200, which can be made without an active internet connection. With UPI lite, Phone users will be able to make digital payments from their bank accounts.<br />
