Amazon India to Invest Aggressively in Quick Commerce; Aims for 10-Minute Delivery Leadership

Amazon India, led by Samir Kumar, is making a bold push into quick commerce—prioritizing 10-minute delivery despite entering the space late. The company launched Amazon Now in Bengaluru in June and is rapidly expanding into Delhi-NCR, aiming for 300 dark stores across key metro areas by year-end. Kumar emphasized that Amazon won’t hold back on investments to scale sustainably, focusing on deep supply chains, selection, and value, especially for the next 200 million consumers beyond top cities.
