Apple Must Pay Masimo $634M in Patent Infringement Case

A federal jury ruled that Apple must pay $634 million to medical technology company Masimo after finding the tech giant willfully infringed upon five Masimo patents related to health monitoring technology. The patents involve technology used in the Apple Watch's blood oxygen sensor, escalating the long-running intellectual property battle between the two companies. Masimo had originally sought nearly $1.9 billion in damages.
