AI agent startup Manus, through its parent company Butterfly Effect, has raised over $500 million in a funding round co-led by Boyu Capital and IDG Capital. The financing comes shortly after the firm returned to independent operations following the unwinding of Meta's planned $2 billion acquisition, which was blocked earlier by regulatory scrutiny. Existing backers like Tencent and ZhenFund also joined the round.
