Byju Raveendran Ordered to Pay $1 Billion by US Bankruptcy Court

A US Bankruptcy Court in Delaware issued a default judgment, ordering Byju's founder, Byju Raveendran, to pay over $1 billion to lenders. The court found Raveendran repeatedly failed to comply with discovery orders and obstructed the investigation into the alleged fraudulent transfer of $533 million from the company’s US subsidiary, Byju's Alpha.
