Chips for Earth and Space: SpaceX & Tesla Launch $16.8B 'Terafab' Mega-Factory

SpaceX and Tesla are investing $16.8 billion to build "Terafab," a massive 100-million-square-foot semiconductor complex in Grimes County, Texas. Designed to produce, package, and test logic and memory chips under one roof, the facility will generate over 3,000 high-paying jobs. The chips will power Tesla's Optimus robots and Cybercabs, alongside processors for SpaceX's orbital data centers.
