Ciena Acquires Nubis Communications for $270M to Boost AI-Data Center Connectivity
Ciena is acquiring New Jersey-based Nubis Communications for $270 million, expanding its high-speed interconnect portfolio to support AI workloads. Nubis specializes in ultra-compact, low-power optical and electrical interconnects including co-packaged and near-packaged optics, capable of up to 6.4 Tbps full-duplex bandwidth, and advanced active copper cables with 200 Gbps per lane.
