Cloud provider AWS now has annual sales run rate of $79B

<p>Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company's cloud division, is once again the top cloud provider with an annualized revenue run rate of close to $79B. In the June quarter, AWS recorded net revenues of $19.7B, a year-over-year increase of 33%. AWS's operating revenue in the second quarter was $5.7B. The company thinks that enterprise and public sector usage of the cloud is still in its infancy, despite the rapid growth of AWS.</p>
