Coinbase Fined $3.3 Million by Dutch Central Bank for Digital Security Violations

<p>The Dutch Central Bank has fined cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase €3.3 million ($3.9 million) for failing to adequately guard against money laundering and terrorist financing. The central bank found that Coinbase had failed to properly identify and investigate its customers, and to adequately report suspicious transactions. The bank also criticized the exchange for not having adequate policies and procedures in place to detect and prevent money laundering.<br />
