A New Mexico judge ordered Meta to pay $567 million into a state youth mental health fund after ruling its platforms act as a "public nuisance" that harms children and fuels addictive use. Added to a $375 million jury penalty from March, total damages reach $942 million. The court also imposed new youth restrictions, including night-time notification blocks and usage limits. Meta plans to appeal.
