Delta Air Lines Cleared to Sue CrowdStrike Over $550M Flight Disruption from Faulty Software Update

A Georgia judge has ruled that Delta Air Lines can proceed with its lawsuit against cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike over a July 2024 software update that caused over 7,000 flight cancellations and disrupted travel for 1.4 million passengers. Delta alleges gross negligence and fraudulent misrepresentation, citing $550 million in losses. CrowdStrike contends the claims lack merit and seeks to limit damages under Georgia law.
