DGGI Issues ₹415 Crore Show-Cause Notice to Infosys Over Suspected Ineligible ITC Refunds
India’s GST intelligence arm, the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), has issued a show-cause notice to Infosys for allegedly claiming ₹414.88 crore in ineligible input tax credit (ITC) refunds on services exported between 2018-19 and 2023-24. The investigation centers on the inclusion of services from overseas branches and subcontractors in export turnover, inflating refund claims under zero-rated GST provisions.
