Digital-Only Heist: Why GTA 6 Is Ditching Discs at Launch

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick defended launching Grand Theft Auto 6 without physical game discs, stating physical copies no longer make sense given that over 90% of their business is digital. Set for November 19, 2026, retail boxes will contain download codes instead. However, Zelnick noted a disc edition could still be released later.
